WARRENVILLE, IL (September 11, 2024) – Plymouth Tube Company announced its continued commitment to giving back to the community through a successful Patriot Day volunteer initiative, further exemplifying its dedication to the communities in which our team members live and work.
Patriot Day is a National Day of Service and Remembrance that our nation sets aside to remember and honor the people who were hurt or lost their lives during the terrorist attacks that happened on September 11, 2001. Patriot Day is all about coming together as a community. It’s a time to think about how brave and strong our country is when we work together and support each other.
To commemorate Patriot Day during our 100th year, the Plymouth Centennial Committee challenged each of its business units to record a minimum of 100 hours of service/volunteerism by September 11, 2024. The response was overwhelming, as Plymouth team members across the country stepped up to serve their neighbors and support local organizations.
A total of 1,633 hours of service were recorded by Plymouth Tube employees, demonstrating their commitment to giving back and strengthening the communities in which they live and work. Volunteer efforts included sports coaching, elder care, general community support, church activities, crisis center assistance, natural disaster relief, meal service, veteran support, community beautification projects, animal rescue, and blood drives.
